... I guess I'm going to just have to stay inside for the next season or so.

I really hate all of this snow...

You should take advantage of the constant good weather elsewhere, obviously.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
If that "elsewhere" is your world, I'm already here.

Namely I'm locking myself up in Noriko's home here.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
You could at least step outside the house.

Not as many UV rays, and much warmer.

...oh, and dryer. That's a big thing with you, isn't it?

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I know that. I know.

Just. In here there's a lot of books...

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Such a bookworm. You shouldn't overdo it though, else you'll get bored of them.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
... I think I'll be alright.

I'm not bored of them yet, now am I?

He gets the added bonus of trying to read books in alien languages. I think it changes up the tedium.

And I do keep such a wide variety of literature...

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
For his sake I hope some of those are language introduction books.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, one or two language I sort of pop into his head for ease, I do have a few Rosetta stones... but~ you know how this works.

A few are, yes, such things.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I have to admit, that's about the best use of your abilities that I've heard thus far, so I guess I can't complain.

I might have to look at your library sometime, in case I ever have a need.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I have said repeatedly to people I wish to use my wealth, influence and abilities to benefit them positively. But a lot of people want to earn those things for some silly reason.

It's mostly historical tomes, religious and mythological categories, recipes, and my personal experiments, and select great literature.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Accomplishment. It's like a game, if you have to struggle for what you do, you spend a lot more time and feel better in the end. If you can just hack everything in and breeze through it, you won't bother picking it up again.

Good to know.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I merely wish to speed things along so they can struggle on higher levels. I hate grinding for Experience, and I figure others would too.

I also have the world's greatest recipe for Ham.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
You need the small victories, or else you won't strive for the larger ones.

...you have my interest.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
I find most people find the small ones the most boring and worthless to deal with.

You're welcome to it, no strings attached.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
It still builds them up for the bigger victory, and gives more meaning. Haven't you ever heard 'it's not the destination, it's the journey'?

...I now worry that you mentioned strings at all.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
I like making the first few steps of the journey less tedious grinding bullshit.

It's not quantum strings.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes that's what makes the journey fun.

What kind of strings is it, then?

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
I like actually getting onto the journey. I hate tutorials and pointless early grinding.

I 'unno.
