I just wish it could be without the guard around, all the time. I know why Noriko wants me to stay protected, and it does help with taking care of Sumiho, just...

It feels a little stifling, I guess?

*Souha can be found at the park. With or without their small toddler child.

But irregardless of that, someone else is also nearby-- a Samasu with black and blue hair that covers their eyes, clearly standing guard over the firestarter.*

*Yuma then looks down at Sumiho, giving him a big grin.*

Hey! Sumiho!

*Poor Yuma must look like a giant to him!*

*you really do to him! he... he waves a little at Yuma, but stays hiding behind Souha's legs.

Meanwhile the guard SEEMS to be looking at the both of you, but... since they've seen Kotori before, they decide it's not an issue.*

Nice to meet you too, Mr.... Do you have a surname?

Oh! Yeah! I'm Tsukumo, Yuma!

*Yuma then notices the guard nearby who is watching them.*

Er, this guy a friend of yours?

Not exactly "friend", but I guess it's close enough. She's my bodyguard.

*wait, that's a girl? ... you guess they must be if Souha says it, but wow, they're kinda really ambiguous with their eyes covered like that.*

Don't mind them, though. They're... Not really much for talking at all.

It's nice to meet you though, Mr. Tsukumo.

A-ah! Sorry! I didn't mean to call them a guy!

*He panics for a moment over that.*

But, er... bodyguard? Are you in trouble or something??

[keepersouha]

It's nothing to fret over, I think. *the guard shakes their head, as though to say it's nothing to worry on.*

I'm married to someone who tends to get a lot of strange enemies, so she wanted to make sure I'd be protected.

Besides, they help with taking care of Sumiho, too. So it works out.

Oooh! Okay! As long as there isn't an issue! I guess it's better to be safe, right??

*Meanwhile, while Souha and Yuma were talking, Kotori has knelt down so she's at Sumiho's height and is playing 'Peek-a-boo' with him in an effort to make him laugh, cupping her hands playfully over her face and then opening them on the 'boo'*

Peeeek---a---boo~!

I guess so, yes.

*Sumiho makes a bit of a "ah!" sound, hiding more. ... but he's laughing a bit, so he seems to have gotten the point that you're not trying to scare him.

he peeks out after a bit and goes "boo", even, before hiding again.*

*Kotori lets out a little squee at that.*

Sumiho is sooo cute~!

*Souha smiles a bit at how gleeful Kotori is over Sumiho*

Well, I'm glad you like him. *leans down and ruffles Sumiho's hair, making him fluster and flail a little while laughter*

He's going to be 2 in a couple months. It's so strange to think of.

Honestly, I still sometimes can't believe I had a child at all.

I was hoping I'd get used to the idea, but now I'm wondering if I will if I'm not adjusted to it, yet.

Though this is where having help comes in handy.

Sumiho is your first child, then?

I guess it takes a lot of getting used to. It's a big change after all and I'm sure you're experiencing a lot of things for the first time with him, so, it's probably natural for you to still feel a little out of place with it.

Yes. Though my wife has adopted, before, Sumiho is really the first child we've had biologically.

Oh! So you have adopted children too? That's really nice!

Ah, yes. But I'm not incredibly close to them, sadly. They like me well enough, though. One of them-- Akae-- she's really taken a shine to Sumiho, and wants to be a good sister to him. He really liked watching her matches, especially.

*... wait... Akae?*

Ah! I'm a former student! I recently graduated!

[keepersouha]

Oh, a graduate? I see.

I used to attend Duel Academy myself, though my interests ended up shifting away from dueling itself as an occupation.
